Church Hall
This church hall was last decorated approximately 5 years ago.
Since then a new central heating system has been added, the
kitchen re-fitted and various items in the toilets changed.
The remit for this job was to repair all visible damage, make
good walls and completely paint all rooms within the hall.
This included the ceilings and where necessary the cupboards
and internal doors.
Various colours for the different rooms in the hall were chosen by
the commissioning trust and overall 3 different colours were
selected.
Throughout the hall the flooring consists of a built-in
skirting board which did not need painting, however a protective
wooden surround approximately 1 metre high did need finishing in
high gloss white. Where
the new central heating system had been fitted pipe work had been
left as just unpainted copper pipes.
These had to be painted to the colours of the walls in the
various rooms. Naturally
a large amount of filling was necessary to the walls in all of the
rooms and to a number of cracks in the ceiling.
Equally a considerable amount of rubbing down of previously
glossed paintwork was required to attain a more professional finish.
We removed the curtains during decorating for cleaning and
replaced these at the end of the job.
The entire job was completed within the
timescale quoted and the hall was handed back to our appreciative
client in time for the commencement of the new school term.
